#1 Trent Nicholson's "Trackside" blog
http://trackside.wordpress.com
The inspiration for the site you're looking at, Trent Nicholson's site "Trackside", tells his experiences with rail, as well as being an excellent repository of information to do with NSW locomotives in the present day.
#2 James McInerney's "Lambing Flat" blog
http://lambingflat.blogspot.com.au
An interesting look into the past, James McInerney's Lambing Flat blog chronicles the ongoing story of his eponymous HO Scale layout, which encapsulates a typical 1950's branch line scene, set supposedly in Central West NSW. There is a mix of ageing steam equipment, and then-new first generation diesels of the 44, 49, and 48 class variety.
#3 Australian Model Railway Magazine

Australia's premier magazine for all things model railways, Australian Model Railway Magazine is a quality, bi-monthly publication, filled full of the latest Manufacturer news and reviews, as well as a hefty section of "how to" instructional articles. Definitely worth a read!
#4 Auscision Models
www.auscisionmodels.com.au
One of my favourite websites for model rail, Auscision Models is a manufacturer of high-quality, model railway equipment for most Australian prototypes . I have a few of their products, and the quality of what you get is definitely worth the outlay.
#5 Austrains
www.austrains.com.au
My other favourite website for model rail, Austrains is another player in the model railway market, also producing high-quality models for the hobby. I have many items of Austrains stock, and have always been satisfied with their service and quality. The mechanical quality of their models is exceptional, I have rarely, if ever, had a problem with trying to run any of their products of various layouts.
